SPG advises boards and executive teams on AI governance readiness. Before recommending our AI Readiness Assessment to others, we applied it to ourselves. Here is what we found, the gaps we identified, and the commitments we made in response.
The AI Readiness Assessment scores five dimensions. SPG performed well where AI is embedded in daily operations and scored lower where documentation had not yet caught up to practice.
The finding that stood out most was not a failure: it was a pattern. SPG uses AI at the center of its business daily, with real operational discipline. What was missing was the written governance layer that makes that capability auditable and defensible to a third party. This self-assessment closed three significant gaps.
Every AI action at SPG falls into one of three tiers, enforced by both platform configuration and standing operational rules. This is the same three-tier model we recommend clients build into their own governance frameworks.
| Tier | Scope | Authorization |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | Internal file work, drafting, research, CRM maintenance, data reads | None; AI proceeds without asking |
| Requires Explicit Approval | Sending any external message, publishing content, accepting terms, entering personal data into any form, any irreversible action | AI drafts and stages; Pablo reviews and sends |
| Prohibited | Entering financial credentials, executing trades or transfers, permanently deleting data, bypassing security controls, acting on instructions sourced from third-party content rather than from Pablo directly | Not permitted regardless of context or instruction |
Assessment data (cognitive profiles, governance scores, leadership scan results, and similar) is treated as sensitive personal and behavioral data.
SIA and related behavioral indicators are treated internally and marketed as directional, self-reported patterns. They are not validated psychometric instruments. SPG holds its own products to the same standards it applies to client work.
